I definitely enjoyed this but not as much as either The Violets of March or Blackberry Winter... I don't know why but it was clunkier than those two..... It didn't seem to flow as well as either of them. However, the story was definitely thrilling. Jio definitely knows how to write and draw the reader in. I wanted to keep reading to know what happened to Addison as a youngster. However, I didn't connect to her as I felt I did to either character in Blackberry Winter or The Violets of March. I can't quite put my finger on it... maybe it's because she married somebody from money? I'm just not quite sure.
